All of the students have enjoyed browsing and buying books from the fair this week!
Kindergarten and First grade read Pug and Pig, then built doors for Pig to fit through out of various building materials. They coded the Code and Go Mouse with Pig's face attached to go through the door. Check out our Facebook Page, Willard Orchard Hills Library, to see some video and pictures!

Kindergarten and First Grade students read Pug and Pig Trick-or-Treat then used the Chatterpix app to make their pumpkins, Pug or Pig talk! Check out our WOHE Library Facebook page to watch some videos of their work.
This week was mostly about research with students in grades, K-4. Research is still an important process. Knowing the difference between fact and opinion is a foundational information literacy skill.
After reading Good Night Bat! Good Morning Squirrel! - by Paul Maisel, students in grades K-4 researched either a bat or squirrel and their habitat. They were required to use both Pebble Go and Britannica School to locate factual information. In addition to the research, students created a picture of their animal to accompany the information. Students will be uploading their pictures and a short video of facts to the app HP Reveal.
